Downings man Eric Roberts has reeled in the title of Ireland’s Best Social Media Star for 2025.
Eric, who has more than 1.1million followers on TikTok and Instagram, scooped the award at last night’s Gossies.
The awards by Goss.ie celebrate Irish showbiz personalities and were hosted by none other than Eric himself.
Eric entertained a packed RDS with jokes and even managed to get Westlife’s Nicky Byrne up for a throwback to his boyband days.

Roberts, who welcomed a new baby with his wife Niamh Emmett on New Year’s Day, looked sharp for the Great Gatsby-themed bash in a McElhinney’s tuxedo. The win comes just a week after his IFTA red carpet appearance, where he brushed shoulders with Ireland’s top actors as he presented interviews for socials.
Other Donegal stars on the Gossies pink carpet last night included Buncrana model and businesswoman Lauren McDonagh, Newstalk presenter Andrea Gilligan from Ballyshannon and ‘Donegal Daddy’ Micheál Brennan from Glenties.
